CMA FOUNDATION

The CMA Foundation is the entry-level course offered by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for aspiring Cost and Management Accountants. Here’s a brief overview of the admission process and subjects:

Eligibility: To apply for the CMA Foundation course, a candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Registration: Candidates can register online through the official ICAI website. The registration is open throughout the year, but to appear for the June term, one must register before January 31st, and for the December term, registration must be completed before July 31st.

Documents Required:

• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Proof of date of birth
• Recent passport-size photographs

Study Material: After registration, candidates receive study materials from ICAI to help them prepare for the examination.

Examination: The CMA Foundation exam is conducted twice a year, in June and December. Candidates must complete the Foundation course to qualify for the Intermediate level.

The CMA Foundation course consists of four papers:

1. Paper 1: Fundamentals of Business Laws and Business Communication (FBLC)
2. Paper 2: Fundamentals of AFinancial and Cost Accounting (FFCA)
3. Paper 3: Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics (FBMS)
4. Paper 4: Fundamentals of Business Economics and Management (FBEM)

Each paper is designed to build a strong foundation in the respective areas, preparing candidates for the more advanced levels of the CMA course.
